Why is my scalp orange?

There is a patch of my scalp at the back of my head that when i scratch, comes away as an oily, orange substance. The rest of my scalp is white. What the hell is going on there? I do not dye my hair, or use any sort of shampoo that could cause this to occur, so i'm really at a loss. Any ideas what's going on?
